This is a necessity for a person who frequently makes purchases through websites, as hackers are able to track the computer usage and obtain personal information. Minutes later, a person’s bank account could be drained or credit card maxed out. Even worse, the hacker could open some type of account and begin racking up huge amounts of debt. Safety online is a must for anyone who uses the internet, and the first step is making sure that all computers have some type of antivirus software installed and working. A virus scan should be performed at least once a week, but preferably once per day to make sure the computer is clean and running properly. All computer users must be sure that an antivirus program is running on every computer they own, even if it’s just used once in awhile.
